LED Simu - no moonlight

Hi, all. I'm having trouble with moonlight, and couldn't be sure until now (Lunar cycle at zero), but yesterday my Profilux (IIplus w wlan) indicated moon was supposed to be at 7%, then 14% after midnight.

Is there a dimming threshold below which the Led Simu doesn't register? Will the moonlight kick on at 21%?

I've got the LED Simu plugged into sockets L4/L5. Sunrise / sunset channels appear to work properly.

Any advice to get moonlight to function?

Erik

I'm sorry - I need more direction. I'm not sure how to alter the "threshold" in the simulation window. Aside from cloud options (which I've not selected at all) and the rainy day tabs (again, not selected), I can't alter the lunar program.

Again, I've got the LED Simu plugged into the L3/L4 socket on the back of the Profilux, and have ticked L3/L4 in the "Apply moonphase simulation to" area in the simulation window.

In the "Test Light Scenes" window, the LED simulator does work when I move the slider to sunrise and sunset, although I have to say the Simu doesn't appear to respond with a full 0-100 spectrum as I'd like it to (the red and blue channels don't appear to respond completely independently). Roughly speaking, the LED simu sunrise and sunset cycles start at 6.30am - 8.30am and 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

How can I adjust thresholds?

With thanks,

Erik

Additional note: in the 1-10V interface settings, I haven't touched the output signals, so both L3 and L4 have Umin and Umax at 1 and 10 respectively.

Perhaps this is the problem. Do I need to adjust these settings?

Speaking of the 1-10V interface settings, I haven't adjusted these for any inputs -- is it correct to leave these at default parameters? My Tunze pumps (two 6100s and one 6055) are all at 1 min and 10 max.

Thanks.

Assuming L3 are the blue LEDs you only have to select I3 for moonphase simulation, not I4.
You need not to change the 1-10V-settings for the Simu.

The "lunar program" can't be changed. It is given by the date.
You can only change the maximum brightness at full moon by changing the "illumination run" for I3.

I've got L4 (blue) programmed in the sunrise / sunset sequence (on at 6-8.30am; on again 6.30-8pm).

I gather this might interfere with moonlight. Do I need to leave L4 blank, or does the lunar cycle override the L4 channel seeting (or whatever channel folks are using for blue).

Standing by; and thanks.

Moonlight in L3? How?

Moonlight in L3? How?

Sorry to be dense, but the led Simu only has one plug. I've reversed L3 to blue and L4 to red on the led Simu -- but how do I assign L3 to moonlight? There's no "lunar" assignation available as far as I can gather.

Frustrated, but patient in terms of working this out -- as it's still not working.

Regards,

Erik

assign it in illumination 3 and makes sure L3 is set to illumination 3 and do the same for 4.

As said before the lunar cycle has no relation to the setting of the LED

Lunar clarification: in the simulation window of the software, the current moon phase indicates 14% (today), but the mini window to show the moon itself is completely black.

Could this be an issue? One would think that a 14% sliver of moon would show in the window.

Erik

My thanks goes to Steve at the UK distributors for putting this in place.

Steve please feel free to post more links of this on here. I can open a thread up for you just let me know
