Led / sps

Please don't stone me for the question, I've been out of the hobby for the past 4 years and when I left LEDs were just a dream.

Have LED lights evolved to the point that they can replace MH lights? I have looked but I have not seen any examples of a pure SPS tank using nothing but LED lights.... Does anyone do it today?

There are quite a few people who have done it successfully. I haven't searched the threads for them but you should be able to find some pics of tanks using only LEDs.

The only thing is, if your tank is deep I think all sps have to be at the top.

That's not true. I have a AI system and most of my SPSs either at middle to bottom of my tank. LEDs just like spot lights, and very intenses. If you put your corals right under LEDs, they're might bleach.
