LED Supplement

Right now I have a 14k 150w over my 24gal, wondering what people would suggest I get for an LED supplement in order to help pull more color outta my zoa frags. Just looking for a single strip bar suggestion!

I'm staying away from full LED right now cos I've heard you don't get quit as good of growth outta them as opposed to Metal Halide.

Suggestions are welcome!

I would do just what you say and get a led bar that is just blue or blue/white mix and put it along the back/top of the tank for supplemental lighting. Current I think is one of the more popular brands, but if you check at a LFS what they suggest and see what they have, or amazon/ebay if you cant find local.

All zoas can react different to different light, my bambams, fire n ice, mowhawks and pink PE all grew/spread like Wildfire under LED lighting, like 3p to 12-15 in a month, some even more.......at the top of the tank. Other grew quite well also, but those few were insanely quick to grow. In the end I think it comes down to what you like and can manage.

I think that's precisely what I will do, I'll look into the Current led bar. I've got a Dragon Eye polyp that I get 3 weeks ago and it already has an extra head with 2 more on the way.....things grow fast!

Do you have a canopy? Reefbrites or truelumen pros are just some ideas.

I just added a reefbrite to my ati fixture. Brought back that pop you are talking about...

Nope no Canopy, it's a tank mounted light
