So I am trying to save some money on electric here . I have another tank same size that I am running a pair of 250 moguls and a 400 watt in the middle . ( halides ) . My other tank is running 3 250s over it . and I want to change those depending on what it would take to light this beast . My budget is limited and I have a couple things in mind . a pair of Pacific sun Tritons with another to be gotten later on down the road when my budget allows . Orrrrrrr 3 AI Hydras . I know a lot of people use the Hydras . but the Pac sun lights I can't find a lot of Info on . They sell them at a place near me but I want to hear skeptics as well as pro pac sun opinions . any help would be awesome . Thanks !!!! :)

For an LPS tank I would look at the reefbreeders or oceanrevive fixtures. I have used the OR-T247 and really liked it.

Thanks Spartanman , was beginning to wonder if anyone even saw this post lol . My only thing with reefbreeder lights is I have only seen them running really well kind of purple . I like a tank that has around a 14 K look Not too Blue but not like looking at the corals in natural sunlight either . somewhere in between

I am running reefbreeders and am quite satisfied with them . Lps do great under them. I 'm not sure I agree with you on them being purple, with the photon series anyway. The built in controller is a nice touch also.

I've got three Reefbreeders Economy lights and agree that, for my taste, they run a little blue. I use the white channel at 100%, and turn the blue channel to it's lowest setting (10%?), which is just enough blue to take the edge off yellowness of the white channel. How people run with the blue channel at 50% or higher I'll never know; it looks like the tank is lit with a blacklight when I do that.

I ordered extra white LED's that I will use to swap out for some of the blues in the "white" channel to get more white light. It's just a little soldering work. If you decide to do this before you order, talk to Logan and he can ship you the light with the custom mix of LED's that you want. His customer service is great.

I found a really good deal I am jumping on for a pair of Triton R2 lights . so I think we will see how they do then possibly add a 3rd later on . and maybe add some T5 suppliments later too
