Im looking into getting a lemonpeel angel i just want to know the experiences people have had with them. im wondering about aggression especially to fish of similar species, aswell as specifics on coral nipped at.
thanks in advance.

LemonPeel is probably the worst nipper of all the angels I've ever kept. Too bad because it's a stunning fish. Also a bit twitchy.

Pretty much same experience as Ca1ore Will nip most Lps and sps mine is fine with softies and euphylias . Have Had mine for 8 years he is a little aggressive I keep him in a 40 with only 2 clowns. Brains , acans, and acro polyps were what mine picked on.

Snorvich recommended me to stay away from the lemonpeel with my flame angel. So I guess I need to look for another bright yellow medium sized fish to replace my yellow tang im rehoming

Can two be housed in the same tank?

Yeah you can have two yellow wrasse in one tank but in my experience this is for a limited time only. Mine were both juvi's and got on fine for a few years. I think the problem was they were so evenly matched but the more dominant one eventually bullied the other so bad as they were both trying to become male. I had to rehome the other in the end. They were amazing together but be prepared for the worst to happen and you to have to intervene.

It looks like you have decided against a Lemonpeel, but I had one once and am not sure I will have one again unless I am setting up an aggressive FOWLR. Mine was in a 65g with only a pink spotted goby, and he killed the goby.

Wow good to know, I was awefully confused as to why snorvich said he would not help with with stocking cause he doesnt advise on aggressive tank setups. Maybe he meant the lemon peel cause I dont have anything in my tank that is remotely aggressive. I do have an eel but it's as peaceful as can be

Good quiet yellow fish: yellow watchman goby. The yellow dottyback is pretty, too, but aggressive and almost impossible to catch: you really have to balance his temper with something that can put him in his place. Both can be in a tank as small as 50 gallons.

Beautiful little fish but can be a agressive, I've taken one out of a client's 120g for it picking on smaller non-similar fish.

Ive tried 3 yellow watchmans in the past not at one time. But I havent had any lucky with the watchmans

Midas blenny?

my wife didnt like the midas blenny. she did love the yellow coris wrasse so we are trading in my yellow tang for 2 yellow coris wrasses. my lfs has 2 large yellows right now should i wait and get them small or one small one large or does the size not matter??

I have not tried a pair, but if i was going to try, i would be inclined to get two as close to the same size as possible.

I have had two. One was on the smaller side, and had more "personality" I had him almost a year before he went carpet surfing. Now i have lids. It would go up to the surface of the water at feedings and try to squirt water at me. Wasn't much of a hunter, and pestered fish more than my current one.

My second and current is larger and a much more active hunter. Doesn't care about any other fish, just works in and out of the rock work most the day. Also doesn't seem curious or interested in me like my first did.

I currently have mine housed with a sixline and a leopard. He actually can often be found close to the leopard. I like to say they are "friends" as they are often right by one another and there is 0 aggression between the two. Its like they actually do enjoy each others company, but they are fish so who knows what they actually feel/think...
