If you want to keep it peaceful, then I suggest only 1 dwarf angel in your 55 gal reef. More than 1, and they'll likely nip at each other competing for space/territory. Pygmy Yellowtail angel would work fine in your 55 gal space-wise, but there's one thing to remember: ALL dwarf angels are hit or miss when put in a reef tank. Your Pygmy Yellowtail might work out just fine; the guy buying the Pygmy Yellowtail in the next tank over gets one that nips at corals. Or vice versa.
Hmm, I really like the neon, bright yellow color. And I want to have a relatively peaceful "king" of the tank. I am open to suggestions of fish like that!
Oh I agree with you. Every time I see a LemonPeel angel at my LFS I think, 'well maybe this one will be OK'. Just not worth the risk in a reef tank. Essential fish for a FOWLR IMO, just not a reef!

I have a Coral Beauty, Pygmy Cherub, baby Blue and the Lemonpeel from hell in my 150. And yes, at times it is a war zone! It's mostly the Lemonpeel - although I know in time the Blue will become a problem (he wasn't planned). My CB & Cherub are pretty model citizens for reef dwellers.
