Lemon's New 183 gallon fruity tank!

Very well done, great job

The sump on the side with top-down access is a great idea. I plan on doing something similar in the future on a larger tank (if I do one). Makes maintenance a breeze!

I also have a "183 gallon", but my dimensions are 48" L x 36" W x 24.5" H ;)

Love the tank, stand and the detailed thought put into your setup. Following closely for more ideas
mighty big thanks!

yup. maintenance is a breeze! nice dimensions! i love the length as much as i love a width in the tank. if i had a big house i wish i had a 48" x 48". but since my house is small and i love length as much as width, i settled for a 3.5ft x 3.5ft

The piping was completed today :)

here's the overflow box with the two return outlets.

Awsome set up...

I too love cubes, specially 3' + ones...

NICE set up... that sump design and location is great and will make life much easier down the road

Wow...incredible build Lemon. I like your attention to detail and choice of hardware.

I'm strongly considering the Deltec SC2060 but it may be a bit much for my system as I only have ~160g of total water volume. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works for you.

thanks. hehe.

go for the sc2060 if you really want it. overkill better than underkill :P

Haven't updated in awhile.
here's the picture of the completed sump with skimmer and the two return pumps.

on the left, you can see the section in which the experimenting of funny things will be done. the overflow teeth has been done for that section to prevent adventurous livestock from swimming out.

water and rocks are coming this friday.

this leaves me almost a whole week to do my necessary shopping.

- sand
- extra wavemakers
- test kits
- other marine related barang barang.

things still on my agenda

- Calcium reactor 2nd hand from one of my friend. waiting for him to release it as he's caught up with something at the moment. Not a problem since i won't need 1 for cycling.

- My lights. 2x 250W MH, 10k BLV bulbs. To counter it with blue, 4x tubes of 39W T5, 2 at the front 2 at the back. Lights are being done now. Not a hurry, no need lights for cycling.

- Compressor. Coil is ready, only need to source a new compressor. Again, not an issue. No need compressor for cycling.

That being said, everything is ready for cycling by the end of next week. Can't wait to get blisters, splinters, backache, fatigue and can't wait to complain. But at the end of the day, i can't wait to sit back and look at it thinking it was all well worth it.

fast forward to a few days later,

never imagine i would have to buy them again... urgh

only the more essential ones....
