This question in especially for Minolta Diamage Z2 digital SLR owners. I have this camera and love it, but I want to upgrade my lense. I want to get better macro and wide angle shots. Anyone have any recommendations?

i personally don't own a minolta or anything, but i think you should check out the minolta lens they offer and look for something thats macro. 50mm or 105mm. or some kind of lens that boost a 1:1 scale ratio on the images produced.

or ! if minolta is the same mount as nikon ? buy my lens i posted = )

Is this the camera you have? If so, it's actually an 'slr-like' camera and not an actual slr, so you can't use interchangeable lenses with it. You can use close-up/diopter filters-- they'll increase your magnification and are less expensive. Assuming you have the camera in that link you will need an adapter that attaches to the camera- you'll screw the filters onto the adapter. Your choices range from inexpensive close-up filter sets to two element diopters like the Canon 500D or Nikon 5T. The Canon and Nikon filters are more expensive but are of higher optical quality.
I read a review for the Z2 and it's supposed to do very well in terms of close-up performance- not enough for you? :p

That adapter actually does the opposite of what you want-- it gives you a wider lens. You want something that allows you to focus closer and or gives you a longer zoom. The adapter you linked to is something you'd use to shoot big landscapes shots-- shots where you want to see from one end of the Grand Canyon to the other.
Here's a link to a good close-up filter and here's a link to one of the sets.
