Leonardo's Lagoon

Love the monster Jetstream2 :D. Great idea for adding volume. I thought i will have the largest protein skimmer but you beat me by adding another 35g container. If you can fill the contain up with Media then will be able to hold more media then the one i am going to get. Let see some picture of the tank with water :D.

Id love to find a couple of these. Does anyone know where to find them in the States??

Leonardo, I cant wait to see some updated pix!!

Thank you all for the reactions and compliments.

Ed Reef; Please teach me! :D

Jar*Head; in a Ca reactor it is more about the volume then the amount of media. The longer the duration in the reactor the higher the alk and dissolvement of CO2. The amount of media is not that important.
I like to have a visual check, so the media will only be in the reactor itself, and not in the vessel :) The vessel is for adding volume only.

Ian; They are used as shoplights. I don't know if they use this brand over there in the US. But is you search for shoplight-systems you could find similar lights. You only have to replace the bulbs for 6500 K or 10.000 K bulbs.
I can send you a PM with more info if you like.

I could't resist the pressure ;) I made some tank pictures. I'm still in a minicycle because of all the new SW, so the back of the tank is bright green :)
Shall I go for a dark blue or a black background... Wat do you guys think?

My Acanthurus Coeruleus. I really like this fish :)

My Threadfin Apogons. The lagoon will be almost an Apogon-only tank. So I'll add MUCH more Apogons in the near future :)

Bigian, Won brothers has something similar using 150w G-12 base bulb. They have 14k and 20k available.

Leo, thanks for the advice. I will keep that in mind when i setup my Ca reactor...

I sure wish I could get the apogon sp. to make it here alive!

I got a bunch from LiveAquaria and 4 out of 5 made it. They are very cool fish..Wish I had as much room for more like Leonardo.

Following closely! It is apparent that you have put a lot of careful thought into this system! 4 months soaking your reactor media!!! You are not fooling around!

I have to agree with others; the tank looks great! I also agree that I am partial to black backgrounds. The colors seem brighter to me with a black background.

Looks great Leonardo:D

Thanks for the update/pictures.

I vote black as well. I've had a couple of blue backgrounds and my current tank is black. IMO black contrasts the corals much better.

wise choice! nice to see a tank that's not full of tangs and wrasses. do they school tightly and swim together all the time? how active are they?

I have 4; and 3 stay pretty close together while 1 is the outcast. I'm sure it would be different if I had more than that . They aren't an overly active fish, IMO.
