Leopard and 4 line wrasse's together?

Laissez LeBonTempsRouler!
Macropharyngodon meleagris and Pseudocheilinus tetrataenia in a 55.

The leopard has been in their for 2 years. The 4 line is new in another tank and being picked on by an ocellaris clownfish. I haven't seen any aggression from the 4 line, but it's all about the leopard. I really wouldn't stand for any trouble for that fish. Bad idea, right?

hey- I know a fella from Slidell!

about the fish- it's a good thing that your Leopard is already established. An established 4-line (or 6-line) can make a new Leopard feel real unwelcome, but I think you'll be alright adding the 4-line to an established (hopefully larger) Leopard.

The 4 line is 2.5" and the leopard is 4"+. I hate to see the 4 line getting picked on and I'm going to rescape during a WC early next week. Hopefully that will help.

Hawaiian 4 line ? don't do it .its not worth the trouble if you ask me the 4 lines can be trouble .they certainly get aggressive once established .it will only take one day for him to ruin that leopard so beware .

it read my post and what i meant was one day he will go bezerk and ruin the leopard . not on the first day but once he gets established well .IMO

I once had a big 'ol Macropharyngodon meleagris take out a 6-line...
but it was only because the 6-line wouldn't leave him alone.

never have i seen that happen but i learn every day hopefully Gary .IMO the 4 line is much different than a 6 line though .the 4 line has always had a mean aggressive attitude once he gets a territory .the 6 line are always timid IMO .

i have had them all and i wouldnt chance it primarily because the leopards are my favorite fish as you can see by my avatar

follow your heart with that one .actually im sorry to say that the six line wrasse is a feeder fish isnt it ? lol just kidding Troy

Well this fact finding mission has gone (mostly) as expected :) I'll probably have to sell/trade the 4 line if the rescape doesn't work. It's such a beautiful fish too :(

Granted, my aquarium is larger than a 55 but I've had harems of Leopards (as well as different species of Macropharyngodon) in the same aquarium as Pseudocheilinus and I wouldn't hesitate to add a 4-line to any Leopard(s) in my 225 reef aquarium.

i certainly believe every one but wow my two that i have had the misfortune of owning two that were complete undesirables . i actually was happy to see my last one on the floor dead when he jumped through the fan in my canopy .
