Hello,
I have two leopard wrasses that are glancing(flashing, scraping) twitching, and yawning. I picked them up 3 weeks apart. I put them both straight into my DT (as recommended)and dosed prazipro for 3 weeks for each fish (total of 6 weeks straight). Well the fish do not seem to be getting better and the prazipro is negatively affecting my reef . Im Thinking its either gill flukes or ich in the gills? Seems to be gill focused, and i dont see anything on their bodies.
What course of treatment should I do next? Could /should I do a short fresh water dip and a low dose of cupramin in a qt? I know leopard wrasses are sensative to FWD and copper though.
suggestions desperately needed!
Thanks!

A fresh water dip will have no effect on ich (cryptocaryon irritans). I would have quarantined and treated the leopards in a separate tank.

The freshwater dip would primarily be to determine if it was in fact flukes i was up against. I likely would have put them straight into qt if i had not read on the leopad wrasse primer that the majority of people were having the best luck going directly in the DT and treating with prazi.
You said you woukd of QT'd and treated. Treated with what?

That is true at the beginning of that primer. Over the years of it's existence you can see that they have moved definitively to recommending QT (excluding some outliers). If you have a healthy specimen eating well then QT should not be an issue.
