Ive had a maroon clownfish for about 1.5 years, and had it a host at one point but it didnt do well after the shipping and died unfortunatley..and i havent gotten him a new one in some time, but recently ive been looking real hard for a new home for him..

basically id just like to see your maroons with their anemones...i also want to hear success storys cause I know they can be rough with them as was mine a little when i first put it in the tank.

i have a gold stripe maroon pair that lives in a long tentacle anemone and they are wonderfull fish

Here is a pic of a pair of GSM I had about 1 year ago. They took to my RBTA immediately and although they were not overly rough with it, they became VERY aggressive to other fish. The female GSM even tore off an arm on one of my harlequin shrimp when it got too close. Beautiful fish but very aggressive.

awsome, ya mine was pretty rough with the rbta I got....It was sopposed to arrive on a saturday but got delayed in tennesse so It didnt get in till monday.

It and the starfish were the only thing alive my 3 sps colonies were lost:( The starfish multicolored linkia actually dropped some legs which was already growing its legs in, unfortunatly i lost it somewhere in the move to barebottom.

but when i first put the bta in the tank he went right to it but was kinda rough with it and actually ate one of the tentalces, this along with shipping stress was its demise i think.

but i plan on getting another soon hopefully one thats big enough for him that he wont be rough. He seems to get along with all my fish though.(btw mine is a white stripe)

anyone else have some pics or stories?

maroons w anenome

We have had a maroon/yellow stripe for about 5 months. We got it a rose anenome 4 months ago and he loves it. Yesterday I started to feed the anenome..it was under a rock. I turned the rock over and it had split. That was so cool

This pair bites off a tentacle now and then, but overall they are pretty gentle. The anemone is H. crispa (sebae anemone)

ive read that maroons are the most depedent on nems

forgot to mention my clown sometimes tends to host my clam, not very often but i do catch him in there at random times showing behavior as if it were a anemone.

no hes a yellow atriped. In that pic he was less than a 1/2 inch. They dont turn yellow till theyre about a year old. His front stripe is fully yellow now
I waited forever to find a juvi small enough. My female is EVIL. But she actually seems much calmer now a days. maybe she was lonley :)
