LET reto t5 fixture auto shut off?

I bought it brand new 1month ago. I would turn on the t5s, it would run for like 1 hr and auto turns off? Is the ballast going out already?

Anyone experience this? It's about 80degree inside the house. Maybe ballast over heating?

Is it possible you have a lose wire?

I doubt it. When it turns by itself, I unplug it and try it again and it would wrk again. So weird.

Maybe I'll try to blow a fan at the ballast? Would that help to keep it cool.

Do you have a Kill-A-Watt? maybe check to see if there is a change in voltage. I rewired my Giesemann Infinity light with Hep ballast same as the Let Lighting so I have some experience with them. You could always just send it back and see if you are right. Did you get it at BRS?

I don't have kill a watt, what is,that?

I did get it from BRS. What should I do?

Yeah been running fine before this happen. I'm thinking it's the heat issue. I'm try a fan on it. I'll report back in case anyone else have the same issue as I do.

I only run my t5s for 5 hrs only. The rest are led.

I'll try to touch it later today when it turns off to see how bad is the heat off the ballast.

If a wire is loose it wouldn't even fire on correct? In that case I don't think its wiring issue.

If it is loose it would work and not, just depends. You could try moving the wire with a stick or something that will not conduct electricity.

Update...the ballast gets hot! Is that normal? Would wiring it incorrect cause this? It's been running fine the past 6-7 weeks no problem...until now....wierd

I'll email LET company and see what they say.

The ballast do get hot, I put the wrong one on my Reefbrite 48'' unit it started to blink on/off and it get real hot, so I bought the wrong ballast.

What is the wattage on your ballast I have one in the closet that is a 24watt model.

The ballast came with the LET MIRO t5 I got from BRS. Don't all LET retro t5 kit use the same ballast for t5?

Update:LET company replied. Very well might be over heat issue. Sending pic to them to see if my setup is okay or not.

Yes they all use the same ballast but not the same wattage, so it would be possible to have say a dual 24 watt ballast on a 54 watt light, that would cause a overheating of the ballast. It should not be long until you find out what happened and please post that.
