Ok so everything was going according to plan. The tank is ready burrow and rock in place. About 2 weeks ago I went to 2 pet shops near by and booth seem to understand that I wanted a mantis and they could help me. But as I thought they are singing a different tune now I'm ready to buy. Does anyone know a credible place to order online? I tried Blue Zoo but they were out of stock. Please help me with some options if possible. I really don't want to look at a empty mantis tank for long.

ok thanks for the tips. I looked up both places but it was already to late to call will do so tommarow . From what I saw they seem to have Neogonodactylus oerstedii and OOdontodactylus Havanensis. The Odontodactylus Havanensis said tank size 80l on Roys list . Neogonodactylus oerstedii was 20 which is what tank size I have.

So...what size tank do you have? Dr. Roy listed everything in metric, so 80 liters for an O. havanesis would be a little over 20 gallons. N. oerstedii 20 liters would be a 5 or 5.5 gal tank.

Wow thanks I guess that's something I should have known. Lol But I have a 20high which I think could accomidate either one of the mention species. Hopefully I will get some good new in the mourning.

Since you have a high tank make sure that whatever species you get you have a lot of rock work and caves in said rocks to make up for the large footprint they really like. That is just my opinion.

They had pictures of all of their mantis shrimp and they promised me I would get the right species. I will let you guys know Tuesday at 10:30am...Hopefully!
