I have a Flame, as well as an Emperor and a Majestic in my 180 reef. I have mostly LPS and some softies as well as a few SPS and none of my angels have touched anything. (On a side note I put two Heniochus Dephreutes in my tank and they went right after my Candy coral but once I fed them and put Nori in they never touched anything again. Ever.) Back to the Angels. I was lucky enough that the two LFS I bought them from put fish in their display reef so I was able to observe them beforehand and saw they were not nipping at anything. If they had been nipping I would not have risked it. I could not beleive when I first bought my Emperor that I was actually doing it, but it had worked out for me.
I view it that if an angel were to pick on just one coral I would have to make a decision about which is more important to me, the coral or the fish? If the fish started devastating my corals I would have to remove him. The choice and the risk is an individual decision. If you want it bad enough go for it, if not, then play it safe.
