I seen something on tv that lions are becoming an evasive species and marine biologists are wanting people to eat them more Lol

Lionfish Catching

Lionfish Catching

I was just down in Long Key for a month for school and we were catching lionfish as well. The research station I was staying at was doing a project on whether or not they were eating juvenile lobster so they had at least 20 on hand. I collected A few myself, along with 3 blue angels, and a french. They are planning on having a lionfish derby in the upper and southern keys to catch as many as possible.

There I would see lionfish shallow often, but only occasionally per dive I went on. Their not as bad in the Keys as in Abaco, Bahamas where I do my grad work. There you will see groups of 3-4 of them at a time and they will be BIG!. Fry em up and eat em, big. In fact we did just that with one that we caught, it was actually pretty good
