it seems from recent postings that goni keeping is becoming popular so i thought i'd start a thread so people can view everyone's pictures. pics of alveos are welcome, too!

i'll start with some pics of my 2 goni's.

here's a pic of my oldest:

here is a more recent pic of it:

here's one of its babies that i can no longer find in my tank :( :

and here's my newest. it was bleached like this when i first got it, but i'm trying to nurse it back to health by putting it in a cave, feeding it cyclop-eeze & dt's & dosing iron & manganese.

very nice, here's a pic of mine, raised it from a single hitchhiker polyp, neon pink centers with blue tips :D

Here's mine. I know it's already in another thread, but now he can be in great company! He's pink w/green centers.

i don't think those last 2 pics are goni. according to borneman {sp}goni has 24 points not 12

this might be a good place for tips on goni success as well.

great pics by the way.

Here is my free goni. Wasn't doing well at the LFS. Attached are pics 4 months ago and today. It was my first coral. Hope you all like it!

thanks waterfaller!

wow, the pics are looking great, everyone. in case you care (or not lol) i keep both my gonis under pc lighting, low-moderate flow, dose the tank with dt's live phyto (for my derasa also), feed them cyclop-eeze 3x/week and keep them in a clown free tank. when the first goni was in the tank with my perc she hosted it nearly to its death. it wouldn't open at all in that tank so i moved the goni to its current tank & now it's out all the time.

Gosh Emster! I can see why that's your favorite! It's GORGEOUS! :D May I ask where you got it? You can PM me if this is breaking any rules :)

Chelsey

Thanks for the compliment Chelsey, you have pm. That is its true color and it is growing. I feed it every three days.
