Let's hear it for the biocube!

I just cleaned my glass for the first time in a while and my tank looks pretty good right now (for someone on my schedule and budget) so I thought I'd show off my humble little biocube.
It's nothing special or at all spectacular but I just wanted to put up a few pictures. I think it looks pretty okay for a minimalist tank. And when I say minimalist, I mean it; no skimmer, no reactors, no fancy pumps, no dosing pumps. I also test for nothing besides salinity; just regular(ish) water changes.

I've had the tank set up for about a year now. Here it is!

He actually lived in the back compartment for almost 3 months becuase I assumed him dead.. but other than that one time, he hasn't ever made his way onto the floor or anything.
I think he learned his lesson after his trip in solitary confinement, ha.

Yeah, those little critters jump. I had 2 blue spots, found them both in the back of the tank. Wished I had screens on my tank. I'm going to by another Jawfish for my 50 cube, luckily this time the tank came with a glass top.

I'm a sucker for jawfish. I don't know what it is, but I'll never have a bare bottom tank for that reason.

Looking great Ms Toaster! Your schedule of water changes (or lack thereof) seems to be agreeing with your system...

I swear, I don't know how or why but it's working for me.

I have a theory that when people test water parameters, all they do is stress about where their number is and crave the perfect number then go nuts.
