Lets help Muppett

Well Muppet is going to be adding a mantis 10g tank to his home. He needs help with placement. So who has a good idea for placement of his new tank.

My vote is the nite stand by his bed. The clicking would be like a little watch under your pillow. I think his wife would love this.

You do realize a Mantis can easily break the glass on a 10g tank? That sucker would end up IN your bed.

Yeah the glass breaking thing remains a concern. Trump seems to think he won't do it unless taunted into it, so hopefully no food will align itself just so...

That is more myth then factual they are capable at like peacock size but not the lime greens. Look up vids for glass breaks. You will not find one that actually breaks the glass, Ive tried. The best one I saw was a peacock popping it pretty good. I guess the difference is the glass hit is more of an investigation hit not a full force strike.

He's right in my kitchen on the bottom level of a two-tier open stand, beneath my 34g tall that's gonna be a planted freshwater dwarf puffer tank.

He likes to do laps every day at lunch and dinner time. I've got a couple Marco style rocks in there (and a bare bottom). He seems pretty contented to hide in the big pores in the rock. I haven't tried feeding him from a skewer yet, but he seems to dig mysis well enough.

I threw a misbehaving blue leg hermit in there from my main reef. They're buds now.

Dont do barebottom. They need the sand. I can dry what he had out if you want or if you have sometihng but they need it to dig in
