+1 on Atlanis going down hill. They used to be the $h!t. Now they are way overpriced and colors of corals are not good. It all stemmed from when the display tank behind the counter started leaking, and they moved all the livestock into the tank by the door. After repairing the tank they decided to make the tank behind the counter into a LPS tank, but that is still yet to be seen(at least at last visit). I do not know if they will do additional work to the tank by the door, but they need it. Way too much rock and livestock. Ming know what he is doing just give them some time and I am sure they will return to glory.

Well after being laid off from my job and having to move in with my mother in law and having to take down my wonderful 120 gallon reef I thought that I would be able to survive without a tank, but after about a month I just could not handle it. So behold the new tank. (I know I need a new bulb)(Also note the can for size reference)

It is my wonderful new DIY 2.3 gallon pico. Definitely takes some getting used to from the big tank but I guess that it is better than nothing. It is cycling right now so hopefully around the first or so I should be able to start adding livestock. I will probably have to upgrade the lights eventually. 96w pcs are ok but im thinking led possibly. Ill just have to see how it goes. So let me know what you think. Suggestions are always welcome.

YEHHH!!! sweet pico action.
Sorry to hear about the downgrade... but at least you are still with us!

Let me know if you want any pulsing xenia for your pico.. I have some fast growing (they look like fire and ice) zoanthids that you may be interested in as well..

Thanks. Hopefully it will be in the near future. It is definitely very satisfying building your own tank, but I dont think that I would want to do it on a large one. It kind of a PITA. Oh well it was fun and cheap. Just up my alley.

Cheers D.
My frag from your Phil's 'granulosa' is finally starting to color! I moved it up and it has really improved. I will post some pics before too long. I think it's got some serious potential.
