I had a pair of these guys. I never did find out what they were, which is too bad because they were my favourite fish

Marie, those guys sure are kewl! Where did you buy it? Maybe they could tell you where they got it? That might help narrow the species down.

Here are some blennies that are very similar that you can buy on-line:

Reeftopia sells what looks like your blenny for $12 US and sells them as the Eyelash Blenny:

Also, The Marine Center sells the "seaweed blenny", Parablennius marmoreus which could very well be your blenny:

I think that the closest thing that I found on fishbase was the freckled blenny, Hypsoblennius ionthas, but that is because there are a lot of species and not many pics for most of them that you can use to identify with.

Also, Molly Millers can be purchased from Liveaquaria and the Marine Center, they are also probably very similar in behavior to yours.

PS, I like your blenny so much he’s now my wallpaper! I have a new blenny every day, but may keep yours up for a bit longer!!!!!
