I took this down in Homer about 5 minutes after taking a bunch of eagle pictures She was looking at me like "what the heck are you doing covered in snow?" and had such a cute face I just had to take the shot.

What a gorgeous baby.

Tell me folks, how the heck do you get your kids to sit still long enough to get a picture of them! I have a 1.5 year old and trying to take portrait shots are impossible!!! Maybe I need to adjust my shutter speed or something :lol:

I took it with my 50mm f/1.4 and I think I had it at f/2, so I had a fast shutter speed. She was moving all over, I was taking a couple pictures and she stopped and looked at me and I took the shot, there wasnt anything special done.

One thing I've learned with my little nephew is just to take lots of pictures, since kids are so unpredictable and you dont want to make it look like they are in a forced pose anyway it is better just to take a lot of shots and weed out the pointless ones.
