Reef Octopus xs160 diablo?
About a week. I feed only pellets full mixed reef. no target feeding no additives no carbon dose. Only water change and dose.
So this is just nasty shouldn't be in your water scum.
I tell anybody new to the hobby the Skimmer is the most important piece of my reef tank.
Build your tank and inhabitants around your skimmer.
You'll thank me later.
I've seem skimmer less tanks and it's possible but usually with some other means of export. I couldn't image with out my skimmer it's rated for 100-160 gallons I run on my 40 breeder slightly wet and no issues you can not over skim with hobby grade skimmers IMO.
I bet I can find a video on YouTube someone dumb enough to taste skimmate although I don't want to see that. The smell gets funky after 5-7 days.
