Depends i know when my css got full too fast it would overflow.. there are mods you can make so your skrimmer can drain into gallon buckets e.t.c... Or just make sure you empty often when needed! Great tank guys im currently running a sumpless tank until my 280 is up been running fine for a year now.

by the shape an the legs id guess its an aquatrader unit, same thing i got, just different size, nto horrible, but bad bulbs

Lol, yup. I opened mine up to check the wiring and stuff, and they have the new capacitors so I think they solved the fire problem. I have the 36" odyssea with a pair of pheonix 14k bulbs. Looks great.

If you all have no sump and pretty much just a skimmer, what do you dose for chemicals and stuff?

That question makes no sense to me but I dose only calcium.

This is my 38 as it stands now. When I upgrade to a bigger tank, I'll definately have a sump.

Hens: Many of us that don't have a sump go with a skimmer and a canister filter. A lot of people don't care for them but I've been happy with mine. You can put a lot of different types of media in a canister. There are plenty of pods living in my canister, too. I use another hang on too, basically for extra surface movement and easy cabon changes if necessary.

Sump or sumpless has no bearing on what you can dose. I use a peristaltic pump to slowly drip about 30ml of B-Ionic directly into my tank every night. I could just as easily drip kalk, but again slow as you go. Most Ca supplements can quickly impact your pH.
