i think you're talking about mattyice's C. dubia. he had two, only one made it. the other had algae growing on its face which didnt allow it to molt (rhizomes had penetrated the shell).
oh it certainly was macro, it looked like the poor thing had a crazy moustache. i believe a lack of habitat and exposure to very strong light (in the lfs) allowed the macro to get a death grip on the C. dubia's face.
it's a sea clear acrylic. I bought if from my LFS that bought it from a petsmart that went outa business. I thought it was a cool shape and an acrylic tank for 30 bucks! couldn't say no. Plus it's like 30 something gal, perfect for my mantis!
Ok, I finally got rid of the crappy hood of my 12G Eclipse and am no longer embarassed to show pictures of it. Marty's rock is on the right and I'll start adding corals real soon now that I have enough light to grow them.
