Lets see those anemones

The first pic posted with the pizza appeared to have more than one species, but then I'm no expert. I imagine the longest they'd be in those tanks would be a week, since that's how frequently he said he shipped.

Here's my Borneman's anemone. Not as pretty as some anemones, but I like it.

I acquired it as a 'Borneman's" anemone, which many people ID as Phymanthus Buitendijki, although I think there is some dispute. I took a quick tour of Google image results for fire anemones, and while there is definitely some similarity, I'm pretty sure it's not. I'd rather not stick my finger in to to find out though :)

Unfortunately...which is why I'm so adamant about the need for aquarists to exercise their brains by cracking open some books and magazines before stocking their tanks. (IMO, just posting a question on a forum and proceeding from that alone is not enough to go on--you need some basic knowledge to be able to sift out the wheat from the chaff, advice-wise.) If I hadn't always been a research nerd who loves to read up on anything I'm interested in, I'd have made some really, really bad choices based on what some LFS employees (including some generally reliable ones) have told me.

Here are my flower nems, the "brown" one looks much more purple in person.

And my S.gigaantea? got it for 20 bucks at the lfs. Someone gave it back to the store. It had a "blue" foot, and I thought/hoped it would turn blue but instead has gotten a purple disc and greenish tan tenticles. Not much to look at flashy wise but I like it. These pica re not long after I brought it home.

While the chalice may suffer, that last pic reminds me of how they exist in the wild. They love those cracks they can disappear into.

Its a little bit of an optical illusion . . . the chalice curves around and up (and no live tissue on teh back side of the chalice), and there is about a 2" buffer between the nem and teh back of the chalice. So far no issues. The nem moves out every morning and stays a happy(for me) distance away. *knocking on wood*

Anyone need a paradigm shift? Look closely. Take my word that there was a fourth species there too, but my camera missed it.
Was there more than one anemone there? I'll have to go back and see!
