I was actually referring to the wild (gig?) that you photographed. It's all folded up making it hard to tell if there is more than one.

Can you tell us what all your anemones are. Kinda hard to tell. The BTA's are very unusally colored.. Nice looking group though..

most are bubbletips i have. one is macrodactyla doreensis (the paler/cream looking one, it was very white when i purchased it but is improving vastly)
the dark green ones with purple tips and the pink ones are snakeslocks anemones, they are found local to where i live. they started off a greeny/yellow colour and changed colour from that to a deep green and long purple tips! no idea why they changed that colour in my tank???
heres a pick of a newly collected one and my older ones... not ony have they changed colour but the tenctacles are much longer.

Purple are sweet!!! Are they kinda like condy's? Is the water cold most of the time in UK? I know nothing about that ocean area. Did you find them in tide pools?

yeh they are found in rock pools as the tide goes out, is only one of the colourfull anemone species we have here.
the water is fairly cold most of the time here, but mine i kept at between 17-22c and they seem to tolerate it well, also witnessed them split. i know of some people who keep them in full tropical water but they sometimes struggle when the temperature stays too high. the rock pools they are in can get very warm and they are often exposed at low tide under the sun so they are usually pretty tough with temperature stings. they pack quiet a nasty sting though, and are very sticky! was shaking my hand like crazy with one coz i couldnt get its stinging tentacles off my finger! lol
there is another anemone species that i wanted to collect that seem to be growing in ambundance here, but they are growing in a harbour that i dont think you can get into without permission! :(
its called a plume anemone

Wow you have some awesome anemones growing in your waters. In NC we don't really have anything, pest nems, warty different colors, tubes. I have some local warty nems they are cool and stay exposed to the water at low tide.

lol.. i dont believe that for a second! i bet there's loadsa amazing creatures hidden for you to discover!
my dad gave me a wet suit and snorkel so once it warms up a bit more am gonna try my hand at some very shallow snorkling to see what more i can find. you should try several different biotopes along the coast, as each area may have different creatures living in it. ive explored a relativley small stretch of coastline and its amazing how different it is as you travel along it.:)

welp I know for sure about the nems! But spiny box puffers, pepperment shrimp are very common. But I only have one tank now with a GBTA so no puffer.. They are tiny when people see them as they are only near the shore when young, like a small gumdrop. Its funny cold water nems have such nice colors. I think the coldest the water ever gets here is in the upper 40*'s if that low.

the water temp here varies, the shallow water can get warmish (for this area anyways) think highest was about 18c, but think some parts could be warmer, the rock pools can heat up much higher!
but during the winter i reckon the water is a lot colder than 40's for sure.
the nems can be very colourfull but there is no doubt that warmer water ones can be stunners too! :D
the fish are usually pretty drab here but interesting, there are few colourfull ones though.
