Lets see those angelfish pics!!!!!!

Wow, your angels look great!! Is that a pair of flames?? I am really looking into getting a pair of them. Your majestic looks good too, how big is it?? Do you have all they guys in your 75? How do they get along? I would love to have a tank full of angels, and I think I did good getting the majestic first they seem to be realy shy. My cinnamin clown is kinda bulling my majestic, so I need to get a meaner fish to put the clown in her place, lol.

Like with all angels, it depends on the fish. Ive seen all the angels above in reef tanks and do fine, then youll hear of people that have an angel that loves to eat everything. In the large angels I would say the majestic, regal, and sometimes the emperor are the safest. Most of the dwarfs are well mannered, but again it depends on the fish. If hear that if you can get the angels around 2 inches they are less likely to have gotten a taste for corals. Just keep them fat, and feed them the right food so they want start looking at corals for food. Mybe someone else will have an opinion about this.

Thanks. They are all in the 75 right now and planning for the big move in the early summer to the 220. They all get along pretty well now and the hardest was the baby Blueface (I'd in Sep and it's been hiding in the rocks most of the times but now it will swim in the open area but still take the quick dash because of the Majestic around). The Majestic is under 4" and it grew almost an inch since June '06. I've 3 FAs in 3 different sizes and waiting for the pair to form and I guess the odd one out will stay in the 75 after the move.

Does anyone know how long or big it usually take for FAs to pair up (if they decide to) and I've them since Oct/Nov?

From what Ive read, the flames will pair on there own. The male will be the biggest, with the brightest colors, and with have more pointed doral, and anal fins. All flames start out as female, so you can have a haram of angel as long as you just have one male. Im really looking into pairing up some flames for my tank, they are my favorite fish under my majestic, hehe. Also, is your majestic shy?? Mine is getting better, but is kind of a wimp. My female cinnamon clown will chase the majestic some times, and take alot of crap. I always thought angels would hold there own. How does the majestic act with other angels? In the future im upgradeing to a 180-220, and would love to put an emperor with it. Thanks for all the great pics guys, keep them commin!!

I have a trio of these guys. When I received them the biggest was 1 1/4 inch, they are still small but have grown since this picture.

My friend that has a Majestic, as well as my Majestic are actually the boss of the Angels, although in my case it's not that bad. Even my juvenile colored Emperor is bigger than my Majestic. But the only one that the Majestic occasionally chases is the Blue Face, although it's just for a short sprint.

I'd say that the king of the tank is my Purple Tang, but even he doesn't really bother any of the others. The chasing between the flasher wrasses is probably worse than the chasing of the 'big' fish.:p

My Majestic will all the angels alone except the Blueface but will only give short chase and no harms done. The first couple of weeks theer were nips on the body now the BF comes out more but still takes quick dash across the water when it sees the Majestic. My YSM will swim right upto the Majestic's face when the Majestic comes too close to the BTA and will not do anything but doesn't back off either.

Angel*Fish: Ive seen your pic before, and your the one resonsible for getting me hooked on getting a pair of flames!! Ive always read dwarf angels, even large angels, are not supposte to be mixed. But it look like everyone has two or more in there tank! I guess it all comes to how you add them to the tank, and if you have enough space. Im looking hard into getting a larger tank now, so I can get an emperor, lol. Ive wanted one even before I had a salt tank. How long would the emperor be happy in my 100 before it out grew it?? I know the majestics grow really slow, but I havent read to much on the growth of the emperor. I say slow, because ive had oscar cichlids grow 14 inches in one year from a 1/2 inch juvi.

ObscurityKnocks: Ive been watching your juvi change, and it is great!! I love your regal tooo.

cthetoy: nice tank, I love the moorish idol!!

makoJ: Ive read throught your build up of your new tank, and have to say, WOW! Love the tank, and your regal looks very healthy. How is he doing with your corals??

LauraCline: your juvi looks very dark, and beautiful!!

Why do you need corals when you can have beautiful fish like angels, . Great pics guys!! Keep this thread going!!
