what is the key to bringing out the pink color in the polyps? my frag is encrusting well, I have it mid-high in light and flow but the polyps are white in color

yes I have 2 frags one is high up one is mid the high up one has pink polyps the mid one has the white polyps. I have 400w MH on my tank

My coloring is nothing compared to any of the above in this thread. I have nothing to blame but bad husbandry. I only get good coloring at the base, so I might be able to put some of my blame on the lights. As everyone said, this thing is an encrusting monster.

I can't get that beautiful green and pink color, don't know why. Even the new growth is a radioactive looking yellow...

What bulbs are you using? The more blue spectrum the bulb has, the more green you will get.
