I like the second shroom, Loosey.
Wrasseguy, is that aka, frogspawn rhodactis? Nice color.
Here's one of mine that had split since moving to another plug.
Sorry about the diatom, I gave up the battle long time ago.
they do kinda look like a mini frogspawn little bulbs going everywhere!!!..i have had these for a long time now...i use to have a couple nice size rocks of them now i am down to these two...i did notice that they are both starting to split again...there are a few store around here that have been selling them at $60 per...i got mine for $10 or $15 my favorite shroom that i have kept
Thanks wrasseguy. My rhodactis are lots of fun to look at. They have nice colors when kept in very low light and become lighter in color when placed in the mid-level.
Ziggy, how big is that giant frilly when fully inflated? Is that orange shroom also a rhodactis?
It is silica, I got from local beach here in Fla. I will soon rescape my tank. I made cement rocks using white cement (very interesting shapes I made, you'll see soon). It is now curing and leaching plenty of calcium flakes on the surface of the water. When it is done, I am going to remove all the sand and bare my bottom (the tank) . I won't use my current LR because the aiptasia has gotten out of control.
For now, I will let them be.
well the photos i found online for them were red rhodactis sanctithomae or red and blue superman mushroom.nice mushrooms, they look very healthy in your tank.
Amadeus, nice seahorse tank. Matches the flow that shrooms need...gentle flow. Funny, you're a horse trainer.
That "oriental carpet" is very interesting. Any closer pics? What specie of shroom is that?
ziggy, it looks like another type of rhodactis. Of course, I based my opinion on what sancti thomae looks like on sealifeinc's pic. There may be other morphs of that shroom just like yours. IDK for sure. Thanks for the compliment. I like yours too.
Whisper....I have no idea what type of shroom. Nobody can seem to agree. It came as a hitchhiker with some anthia on a rock. The fish store didn't notice it was there in a crevice.
Wow! Another gem of a hitch hiker like mine. Never thought mine was anything special until it grew big and got those fancy colors in them. I think yours is another type of rhodactis.
