hi guys i just recently acquired a male 8 line flasher and kept him in the box a few days but he is pretty big and i felt bad keeping him in there too long...so i lowered it and he swam out last night. He hid in the rock today... but the mystery wrasse was chasing him this afternoon when he would come out...the mystery chased my noako a little bit too initially but got over it... im only wondering if this is normal because i figured there wouldnt be any problems because the 8 line is 3.5" and much bigger than the mystery, noako, and the yellow coris. it ate some this morning with everyone else but wouldn't come out to eat tonight? good news is hes pretty big and fat seemingly healthy... i hope... oh the tank is a aga 90...only other inhabitants are a platinum clown, midas blenny, and lyretail anthias.

In my mind, rare are ones that you only see for sale once or twice a year, if that, and there's usually a long line waiting for them. If you can go to an LFS and find it in a tank without much trouble; it's probably not rare. :)

But that's just me. "Rare" isn't well defined, and doesn't mean quite the same to everyone.

Here is my guys - male earmuff (and back end of a female) female yellow and red tail tamarins and a back end of chevron tangImageUploadedByTapatalk1380069117.715382.jpg

would you recommend re-homing the mystery wrasse? i love the other wrasses and would like others... i mean i love the mystery wrasses but they do seem to be bullies. frustrating thing is he is half the size of my 8line flasher... i guess ill have to catch him if he doesn't lay off the 8 line.

Any wrasse of the Pseudocheilinus genus isn't a good choice to mix with other wrasses.

Yes, consider removing it.
