Let's see your rare wrasses!!!!

Just curious on how he got them on a Monday? haha. Did the ship them cargo or something?

I've bought from him many times before , and he will box them and take them straight to the airport for you to pickup the next day. That's the best way to get them I have found.

This is my first order and it should be here within the next hour and a half.

UPS was the best alternative for me as it only would have saved my about an hour. I think it depends on where you are located.

From what i can tell, PIA will take requests for stuff that comes from or goes through Honolulu. Not everything makes it to his site.

Anyway, looks like a great, quality source.

Just got the box, packed very well. There was a little water that leaked out from somewhere, maybe 1/4 - 1/2 cup.

They are currently floating in the sump to begin their acclimation.

We do direct flight Delta Air Cargo from PIA after the bad service we have had with UPS. UPS froze (37deg H2O temp) my Flame wrasse pair and lost my buddy's shipment for the better part of a day. He lives a few miles from the airport and can pick up the fish about 6:30 am. That's only about 14 hours after they were bagged and Dan will ship them Sunday for Monday pickup.

Female Labouti, pair of Lineatus, pair of Rhomboids and Goldflake Angel all eating pellet within ten minutes of hitting the tank.

Male Labouti and Flames still adjusting.

The female Labouti appears to like being front and center. I guess you could say she is quite the exhibitionist...

that's quite a line up you got there. glad they are doing well for you. :)

I have two identical tanks, 72"x24"x30".

The Flames and Rhomboids went in the SPS tank and the Lineatus and Labouti went into the Softie/LPS tank.

Pics or they don't exist :) haha

My male Flame died last night :( I think it had a problem from day one though.

picked mine up from cargo this morning, all is well so far. i am scared though of their size. my lineatus is large, rhomboid, flame, marjorie and radient all normal sizes. do you think the johnsoni will be ok? they are going in the acc box for at least a week. i am especially worried about the female as she is tiny. glad to hear everyone elses are doing well too. i will try and post pics later today.

My male Lineatus is pretty big, but I have a Filamented Flasher in mine that is fairly small, and nobody picks on him at all. As long as my tank is stable this week, I'll have them ship to me for a Friday arrival.

everyone gets along and all should be well i hope with the new johnsoni, im just curious what others have experienced.
i dont have any pairs, all single males, this will be my first pair :)
i chose chargo because it cut the transit time in half.
sorry to hear about your flame. do you treat or feed with prazipro?
thats strange because ime most fairy wrasse are very hardy.

Nope, never treated my fish for anything, as I've never really had much of a problem. If my fish make it past the first 2 weeks, I generally don't have a problem with them.

As for the Flame, he had like a small chunk out of his top fin, and always seemed like part of his scales on the side were missing. I'm very curious if it was my cleaner wrasse and he was a mimic, taking chunks out of the Flame. I saw the cleaner on the Flame quite often.

I took the cleaner out this morning.

seems like there might be some issue in the tank?
i dont treat anything either but i do use prazipro as a precaution. there are many great threads regarding the use of prazipro and wrasse. i doubt it was the cleaner that killed him. how long did you have the flame before it passed? in another post you said you think you might have ich? it could have been something internal as well that is why i recommended the prazi.

I had the flame for probably a month and a half, and less than a few days in, I noticed something wrong with his top fin. I put in a male Rhomboid and male Lineatus the same day, and they are doing fine.

I'm not sure about the ich. I had it a long time ago, and I haven't seen anything in regards to ich for 8+ months. My only guess is that the stress from the quick salinity drop I had stressed him out, making him susceptible. I added the Laboutei just a week less after the other guys.

johnsoni are eating flakes and pellets:D

Nice, thats awesome.

I picked up a Red Tail Flasher wrasse and Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse today on Divers Den. I've been eyeing that red tail flasher on LA, and then when I saw the preview email about DD, I knew I was gonna have to pick it up.

Probably the closest thing to a Attenuatus that I'll get, haha.
