Looking for some insight...

Piscine Frozen PE Mysis Shrimp has - 69% protein - Cost $$- shrimp harvested from glacier fed lake Okanagan in BC, Canada

Hikari Mysis - 11.9% of protein - Cost $- shrimp harvested from glacier fed lake Okanagan in BC, Canada as well!!

How can the same shrimp shrimp from the same lake in Canada has such different protein percentages!?!?!:spin2: both are dry protein percentages...

the prices difference on these two are very different..

PE Mysis are fed various plankton before harvesting therefore increasing protein content. Think about cows being taken to the feed lot before the slaughter house. Except instead of fat and delicious marbling, the shrimp have increased nutritional value. :)

I've been using Jhemco.com for frozen Mysis. It comes in 5 # blocks for about $30.00.
I don't know the protein content.

Typo? Or out of business? Domain for sale.

$38 for 5lbs plus around $20 shipping.....not cheap....

I put the "h" in the wrong spot. Cet's right, it's jehmco.com.
The price has gone up a lot since I started ordering from them, my last order was 2 weeks ago. I got two 5# blocks of frozen Mysis shipped for $85.00. When I started buying from them, the same order would cost about $20.00 less. Still, $8.50/lb beats LFS price on PE.
Pet's Warehouse has 2.5# for $39.76 + shipping on their website. http://www.petswarehouse.com/products/pe-frz-mysis-shrimp-40-oz-flat-108114.html I don't know what the walk in price is at the store.
I'm getting a deal, if it's the same product. I'm paying about 1/2 of LFS price for PE in the largest size.
If, however, I'm buying a less nutritious product than the PE Mysis, the deal is not as good as I have been thinking.
