leucokranos or thiellei?

I doubt I'll have time to be breeding these guys. However I do want to find it a mate. So i'll go look for a nice occ. THanks Walt.

I bought mine online. It's the one in my avitar.
The male leuc is hiding in this pic. The theillei is the one with the star.

i like that idea.
based on body shape, color and striping (i can see the black outline on my old graphics quality crt monitor), and that it could've been collected from ocellars and sandaracinos s. to nw. australia range, my bets on thiellei. :)

Walt - So 5 leucs and 1 thiellei in one tank? That's unheard of. No fighting or anything between the fishes?

Thanks marc. I really didn't know anything about the body shape and black outline until yesterday. Those are some details I seem to not look at when I'm checking out clowns. I'll def look at those from now on when I'm on a clown hunt!

Actually 5 leucs, 1 theillei, one 13YO ocellaris, one sandaracinos 1 red mandarin and 1 hippo tang in that tank. No "fighting" just a hirarchy that keeps them from progressing into males or females. Until I can find a thiellei for a mate I want it to remain neuter/male.

update on the thiellei. After a few days it finally started hosting my carpet. Unfortunately so did my leuc (it never got close when it was in the tank by itself) which needs to be taken out of the tank so it can be paired with another leuc. But here's a pic of the theillei peeking out of the carpet.

LOL! If you find one (thiellei), let me know. I've only found one in eleven years and would love to find a suitable mate!

I have several leuc pairs.

I first heard of this fish back in 2002. So it has been 6 yrs and this is the first time I've seen it in person. I guess you just have to be at the right place at the right time!

In that amount of time, folks could breed their own....if the original parents were actually documented of course.
