Levamisole In-Tank Treatment for AEFW

Update after first treatment.
Pods are gone...Did not see them after light out last night...
Dendros not open up completely even light out...
Hermit crabs are fine...Still crawling after light out....
Fish still seem shy when lights on...
Clams open again...
Other corals are fine...
I think even after 24h after treatment with carbon and skimmer on, I think there is still levi in water column...might be small dose....
Blasting corals with turkey baster during treatment is a great idea...Will do it next time....

I didnot see any fw pealing off, but see alot of white thing, like sand storm all over after the tank for almost 24 hours after dosing...I saw alot of white thing just floating up from rock...I have two MP40 and 6105 PHs on this 125g tank, even with this after dosing, I have detrius accumulate on suface and it did not go away even next day coming home from work...I wish I have microscope so I can see what these little white thing is....

Well, sadly I have one small colony RTN from the base up this evening...
When I went home I have a white (not green as usual) film on glass and little white thing stuck to glass moves back and forth with water movement, I scraped them off...After about 1 to 2 hour later, I came back and check the tank, there is one colony (small about 2in ) RTN from base up, you can see the flesh peeling off....I went ahead and change 28 gal (tank is 125g) with NSW...
Now i don't know if the levi still in the tank and cause more stress to corals or the dead FW intoxicates the tank and kill this coral...Could this be that levi still stay in the sandbed and slowly released out?...Should I probably best change water 24 hour after treatment?..Should I remove all the sand out before next treatment?....
Other thing I saw is there is white string around few colonies like when acro stressed out...What do you think?...

Sorry about your loss joey. I would not remove your sand though , people have left levi in their tanks for 7 days or more without negative affect. It's possible it was just a sensitive acro. Some acros such as echinatas and turakis can RTN/STN just from a dip in CoralRX. From my treatments I also have seen some of the acros sliming afterwords but they usually bounce back to normal within a day.
Joey did you notice that the coral that rtned may have been bothered by the flatworms? i have a feeling when i try it that my atl crayola plana will rtn with a good chance just because its that sensative. I will most likely do a water change no matter what after treatment, i feel it would be worth it.

I a gree with James, don't pull your sand bed.
DO change or add carbon, do a 25% max water change and always change the media (socks & pads) in your mechanical filtration.
Sorry about the acro, but I'm not so sure that a direct cause from the Levi. As James & John mentioned, some SPS are just terrible when treated. My Hawkins enchinata just hates all dips and treatments.

I will stay the course, but with little modifications
1. Sand will stay where it is...
2. I changed the sock next morning, after treatment, and change sock again 36 hours after that is when I found it slimy....SHould change sock probably best in 24 hours instead of 36hour...
3. Probably change water 20-25% soon after treatment...
4. Still change carbon after treatment...
I think this coral is either sensitive or been bothered with FW and this triggered it to TN...I only dipped one loose colony and found it had FW and tossed it away. Other last millie loose colony dipped with TMPC and still recover and it seems to be OK now...The rest of other colonies are attached to rock, mostly grown from frags...I have been battling with RTN/STN thing for four months now...Most of them show slow growth when this TN begin...
I will keep doing this treatment since I have no other choice except tearing down the tank or live with this AEFW which I see no future in it...Once the colony starts, it keeps going and going, no matter one frag or dip...WE HAVE TO FIGHT UNTIL WE WIN!!!
I plan to dose 2nd and 3rd in every 6days after since we are going out of town for one week....and resume 4th dose on the 8th...

I have a apx 750gallon system 400 display, 175 in frag tanks, 200 sumps, 60 gallons in refugiums.
what do I do with cheoto in fuge with pods? (probally have 3 full 5 gallon buckets of the stuff) Do i pull it and put in another tank or leave it in and nuke it? How did u restock brittle stars and pods? What do u do with mandrin gobies and pod eatters?
Should I nuke the whole system?

well once they get outta control and munching so much on your corals they will lay so much eggs that basting wont work if you have large colonies that you cant keep the insides clean- with so much flatworms munching on the coral - the coral itself will say screw this and let its tissue fall off. It Always gets worse.

My third treatment was this past tuesday, after the fourth and final treatment this tuesday I will be keeping a close eye on the corals and dipping periodically to see if any return. I am pretty optimistic that they are gone. While it may be difficult to physically see them on a coral in your display tank, a good dip in Revive or CoralRX will reveal them after 2-3 mins.

Update about my tank...Since my skimmer not skimming very good last couple of days (I should have cleaned beckett skimer head), the tank becomes cloudy like one overdose vodka, the water is very slimy too( I felt it last night when I cleaned my skimmer)...I think my skimmer didnot skim out the filler material fast enough which is mostly starch which is a source of carbon, like rice...and this results in overdosing carbon...What do you guys think? Should I change water more like 50% to remove this filler material?...
