Michael:
I’ve noticed my optical level sensor is not functioning properly. For the third morning in a row, my level has been low and the sensor doesn’t record it, nor did it activate my ATO.

I’ve tried two things. One, restart my Profilux controller, which worked. The next day, today, I just unplugged the level sensor and it started to register. Today is the third morning where the level has been quite low and the Profilux shows 1X 2X. I unplugged the opitical sensor and replugged it in and it's working

Something, however, is amiss. Please advise, as I’m afraid to leave the tank alone for any period of time and find my return pump burned out.

Have you cleaned the sensor?

99.999% of all miss functioning level sensor are due to not cleaning them regularly, coraline algea then builds up and stops the sensor working effectively.

Clean as a whistle.
It works for a while, then seems to lose the signal or just stops working a registers 1X

hmm I had a similar problem this week, but it turn out that the max on-time had pass and had trigered the Timeoverdue on my water 1....

Even if the alarm was on and the busser was selected for always it never rang.

I reset the alarm and fix the problem with my ATO bump and it was all good....
