Leveling a 75G Tank

I'm setting up a new 75G. The stand is level, however my flow has a 1/4" slope over the 4ft. length. I know lots of people use shims, but I was thinking of doing something a bit different.

The stand's contact points to the floor are 3, 7"X 18'5" boards that run the width of the stand. (front to rear). I was thinking of cutting a 1/4" board to layer under the entire lenght/width of right side board, and a cutting a 1/8" board to layer under the center board. This would give total floor to stand contact and avoid stress points caused by just shimming the right hand side. Sound OK?

thats what basicly i did to my tank at my old house. i had some extra peices of the 1/4" ply i used for the stand, i cut a strip the same with as the stand glued it to the bottom. then i had some 1/8" shimms that i place towards the middle, i just hammered them into place.
