I'm setting up a new 75G. The stand is level, however my flow has a 1/4" slope over the 4ft. length. I know lots of people use shims, but I was thinking of doing something a bit different.
The stand's contact points to the floor are 3, 7"X 18'5" boards that run the width of the stand. (front to rear). I was thinking of cutting a 1/4" board to layer under the entire lenght/width of right side board, and a cutting a 1/8" board to layer under the center board. This would give total floor to stand contact and avoid stress points caused by just shimming the right hand side. Sound OK?
