LF: Acrylic to build sump

Im looking for some acrylic to possibly build a sump for my new build. Let me know if you guys have some good size scraps around. Thanks. Might just end up going to prospect plastics if i cant source anything else.

Look into using compressed PVC board. That's what I would do.

PVC glue I believe. Southsidereefer talked about this in his build thread here.

Lowes sells 1/4 acrylic sheets that worked great for me.... Then glued it all together with Weldon 16 and the things built strong...Weldon handles like 2400 psi... Its 17"*17*14 with baffles and cost me $120 in materials plus have acrylic scraps also

You need to check again lowes and home depot do not sell acrylic they sell lexan (big diff)......

mines sells both i thought that was standard at all lowes.... there both right next to each other in all size sheet s lexan had white film there acrylic has clear film cover

lol aaaa ya thanks for the definition, nice cut and paste from plexi craft .....glad it all worked out for you, just be careful using this material for any kind of tank though as I would stay away from anything that is not cast for an application of this nature....

i see you were on plexi craft yourself lol ...1/4 " is perfect for a sump especially being bonded with weldon and reinforced with needed baffles... really wouldn't trust any product to bond my acrylic but weldon IMO
