I am looking for t5 48" lighting for my tank and I figured I'd check here first before I ordered off the internet.I have a 46" t5 4 bulb but it's a pain in the a$$ to find bulbs for:furious:

can you move the sockets 2" apart and make it a 48" fixture?

we tried Adam but it's a homade light and they left no room the end caps are attached are on the end of the light fixture

I don't want to sound insulting but I just wanted to ask about the 46" T5.

Is it a 46" fixture or a 46" bulb? Bulbs for 48" fixtures are not 48", they are a little under 46". So if you are measuring the bulb and it is about 46" it is a "48" bulb".

Just answered the same question over on upstate :lol: guess I should of been clearer the bulbs are 46" and the whole fixture is maybe 46 1/2" long,homemade with older wiring and a big metal hood (not real easy on the eyes) :lol: My tank is a 75 gallon so it doesnt quite cover it and with the wiring I am a little conserned so I desided to check here before ordering off the internet
