LF: Return Pump for 20 Tall

Recently bought a 20 Tall setup from CCall on here and am realizing my Mag 9.5 is probably too much pump for a 20g tank, Sump is an identical 20 Tall. Anyone have any return pumps that would work for sale? Im guessing it needs to be in the 250-300gph range. I can be reached by PM or 520-456-6106. Thanks.

I don't really follow the question, Mitch. One of the 20g tanks is drilled, and will be draining into a 20g sump. I am just looking for a small return pump for the setup.

I put a t fitting in my return line and a ball valve to control so what I don't want going to my top tank I dump back to my sump. does that make sense

If you valve back a pump the extra flow does not need to be diverted back into the sump, valving back a pump does no harm to the pump and actually decreases the power draw with the pump

However, using a T and a valve offers the ability to do something with that flow. Many people opt to do things like reactors (GFO, pellets, carbon, etc.), chillers, or just more flow in the sump to prevent dead spots.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll just valve back my 9.5 and also setup a T connection just incase I decide to run reactors of any sort down the road.
