Does anyone have a spare quarter inch bulkhead for r/o line? I got a good ato reservoir hidden in the stand, but I need a bulkhead. HD doesn't sell all plastic ones. Also does someone have 5 or 6 feet of 1/4 tubing they don't want sitting around?

Looks awesome! I love the whole feel of that corner of the room. I know it's where I'd be hanging out.
It's very commendable of you to take on this project. You're reaching the kids when they're impressionable. Even if only one child walks away with an interest in the oceans, it was worth it.
Who knows, your efforts may inspire the next great oceanographer, maybe an Adam Derickson, or..... the future VP of SLASH!!

That is about what I said to Mrs Douglas. She already had a stack of marine tropical fish books set out in the reading area. The next project will be to make a picture book with labels for everything that goes into the tank. Much like what Ebius did at the science center.

What else does she need for the tank at this point?

Wish list:
1. maybe an auto feeder
2. 1/4 inch bulkhead for r/o tubing
3. Small (6" or less) fan that can be plugged in. The 8" one I bought is too big to fit inside the stand.
4. I would say test kits but, I think I would prefer to buy them new for her.
5. good aquascaping rocks
6. more reef picture books or coral books. Even if they are geared for more advanced readers. Mrs. Douglas can read them and use them to answer questions the kids may have. :reading:

I've got a fan you can have, never been used

you wouldn't happen to be going to Nick's PN this Thursday would you?

Can't, I'm driving down to Poplar Bluff that evening. I'll be in the office all day Thursday though, I could meet you somewhere if you're available.

Dude.
You didn't mention a fan.
Would this be too big?
14"long

I didn't think of a fan until she told me today that the fan I bought was too big. I thought I had it covered. That looks long but thin. That seems like it would work really well in the hood or above the sump depending on where she wants to put it.

I have to run tryouts for grade school volleyball Thursday until 5:15. I think Brian has it covered anyway. Thanks again for the tank though.

Yeah that way she can tell the kids they have to have gloves to touch the water. I got a long lesson in how I am supposed to speak to the kids. I am not supposed to say not to do something. I have to spin it to be a positive statement like gloves are for the water instead of no hands in the tank. Philosophy has changed in the classrooms.
