LF the perfect pump.

I'm currently running one Hydor Koralia in my 18gallon nano and snowbird my snowflake clown is not happy. It's got to be the flow. He stays on top in the corner of the tank above the power head. What would be the perfect pump for this tank?

Does your clown have an anemone?

Hydor makes some Pico pumps that are adjustable flow also.. More traditional style powerhead w/magnet.. They work great and are tiny.. I have one in my fuge for about 4 years and never skipped a beat.. One draw back is they don't disassemble for cleaning but it's pretty easy to clean..

He doesn't have an anemone but will very soon. I was looking at some hydors it's a good possibility I will go with that.

I would have a hydor 425gph if I was you for that size tank. But yes adding a nem would keep a clown away from the surface. Mine only swim near a corner at night to sleep... but during the day their out of the corners and swimming everywhere
