I was hoping to buy an used one, but cant wait long. So pulled the trigger last week to buy a new at ~$150 including tax.
It has been running in my im 20 for 3 days.

Compared to my previous skimmer (a low end small cylinder, AC powered), new skimmer is more quiet (can hear the bubbles, not the pump).
Only 4 days into it. It started showing skimates inside, but not a lot yet. I have yet to play with water level and air volume.
I had to give up one of the two return pump outlets on my IM 20g tank, to fit this skimmer in. The magnet sits under water between the divider of 2 compartments. The magnetic force is just strong enough to hold the skimmer - wish it a bit stronger to keep the skimmer body more stable.
