LF: Used Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L

I want to replace my Tamron 18-270mm with the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L.
What should I expect to pay for this lens used? $1000?

Also, what do you think I could get for my Tamron, $400? $500?

I'm new with the photo stuff so thanks for any advice.

I bought mine from B&H. Adorama and KEH also sell used gear. The benefit vs. craigslist is that you can return it if there's something wrong with it.
