I just stop by at Carib Blue recently and wooow i dont know what happen, they have sooo much exotic corals sps and lps with way way more reasonable price. I was very impressed !!!! They have rare deep water sps collectios, funky looking chalices , sea of torches and hammers ( even they have gold tipped hammer for very good price ) .

I have yo agree with Bo's indices ...I stopped in Carib blue today and the tanks looked great ..nice corals ..fish looked good. Prices seamed good ..I will be going back for sure

Can't believe you guys are concerned about LFS store locations on LI when most are an hours drive or less away. I moved off the island after my first 20 years and now i have to travel a min of 2.5 hours to get to a decent store. Just time your travel to beat the traffic .

I've always thought this was funny, I've known people not to go somewhere or make plans just because something was 30 minute drive away. :headwally:

Also I have found some nice things in country critters frag tanks before, but I can't afford the large pieces, although some of them do look nice.

I haven't went to carib. blue in a while because it has been so overpriced. But I Just stopped by today and they had a TON of healthy livestock in and it was all competitively priced. I ended up getting 4 fish. Definitely will be going back.

For you guys way east the petco in Hampton bays has gotten pretty respectable. I know I know it's petco, but the guy there seems to know his stuff and I see him isolating tanks and quarantining all the new stuff that comes in. Not always the best selection but they do get some random stuff from time to time and will order things if you are looking for something specific

Stopped by there for the first time in 6 months. Major change in pricing. They had some nice stuff (SPS frags, lps) Nothing to compare to to Tropical Island or PW, but nice stuff at reasonable prices. I wonder if someone new took over.

I stopped by Carib blue also, major improvement for them as far as saltwater. A lot of nice reasonably priced fish, large frags at good prices for the size of the frags. I prefer smaller frags though. A person working there told me the ownership is the same but they have new management. They've always seemed nice costumer service wise, I hope the improvement on the saltwater end pays off for them.

Caribbean blue aquatics in bayshore is by farrrrrr the best reef store around, extremely nice and helpful staff, very clean, huge place with a big selection at great prices . I will NEVER step foot in country critters again
