But I see more queen, which makes me think it's a Townsend angelfish.
What do y'all think?

I agree, either way, I like it! It's a beautiful fish,., I'm happy to see it eating well, picking off most of the rocks plus what food I put in there:cool:

Townsend. Has the colors/markings of a blue (can still see the straight vertical bars of a blue) yet has a partial crown of a queen.

One morph is even white.

The fish in the pictures of the OP is not a H. ciliaris (queen angelfish) but a H. bermudensis (blue angelfish).

Even though it has a crown, wouldn't that make it both, ei a morph of the two (Townsend)

I'm learning so much

Thanks

This is a picture of H. bermudensis from LA:

Yours looks like it has still some of it's juvenile coloring left.

It is definitely Townsend. It has blue crown on the forehead like queen does, but has yellow trim on the lighter yellow or beige tail. A queen has solide vivid yellow tail. A Townsend has yellow trim on dorsal and pelvic fins like blue angel while a queen has electric sapphire-blue trim.
