I picked up a Lieutentant Tang a little bit ago and he doesn't seem to want to eat too much. He loves grazing and cleaning the rocks but I worry that it isnt going to be enough for him. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea about enticing him to eat from my clip in the corner, it's in low flow area so he should be fine to go grab some but he wont. I mix up the diet with some red, purple and green seaweeds. In addition about twice a week I throw in some mysis and about 3 times a day I feed a mix of pellets and flake. Any ideas are very welcome thanks!

If it will eat flakes, cut your seaweed selects into flake sized pieces. Use large, sharp sheers for fast and clean cutting. If he's really small, you might need to throw the pieces in a coffee grinder to get them even smaller. Mix these in with your flakes. Always works for me.

This is a great way to put algae in your autofeeders too.

not related to the tang but make sure you are not over feeding...

Seymour... I'll definitly try cutting it up into flake size and using it with the feeder maybe he just doesnt want to come up to the clip, don't know why I didn't think of this lol I was just focused on the clip I guess.

jay... Yea he seems to like mysis when I put that in the tank too even though they are supposed to eat more veggies... wierd fish but he is still amazing. I just didn't want this to be his main diet though so try to supplament it as a treat kinda.

captain... I watch the portions closely it's never too much at once and there are others in the tank which eat what he doesn't. Nothing is aggresive though, so I don't see why he wont go up towards the clip.
