Life after Copper

A few months back I had a bad strain of ick get into my system and started loosing fish so I was left with no choice but to break down my reef taking all coral out and putting it in another tank. I left about 200 pounds of rock and all my substrate as well. I used cuprimine by seachem and boys did it take a lot. I used half of a big bottle. I kept copper up to theroputic levels for nearly a month after which I ran seachems matrix carbon and cuprisorb for about a week or so.Their site says it takes a few weeks to absorb it all but I Added my first small chunk of coral after about a week. All went well so less than a week later I added the rest of my coral. It's been 2 weeks in the video link since I started the removal process and everything is doing great. This is not my first time doing this. My 300 in my sig vid had the same thing done. So this video was taken last night which has been about two weeks since starting to remove the copper. Now I know a lot of you will say I'm crazy but it almost seems that after I treat my tanks with copper and do the removal process they seem to do better afterward. I know that was the case with my 300. In just 10 months after the copper treatment my tank went from having frags to being overgrown. Growth just exploded and I was able to keep all kinds of coral and inverts. . If you read the seachum specs it says it's removable. Anyway I think it's great stuff and from my experience there is life after copper. I give seachem a big thumbs up. Enjoy the vid. There's a few pieces of coral that don't look happy but remember it's only been in for a week so it's still settling and the big leather at the back is closed up cause my big hippo has been chomping on it. You can see chunks hanging off it. Anyway.. Here's the vid I took last night Smile
