Life sucks!!!!!!!!!!

So this weekend we moved to our new place. Every thing was going well. We put all of the corals and fish in a very large container and gave them light. Well the first two days of them being in there went well no problems. The third day comes and every thing is DEAD!!! The only things I was able to save is some mushrooms and zoes every thing high end died. I almost was able to save my 40 heads of acans they where looking good but then two days after recovering them they got the brown jelly disease:furious: I was so mad.....it came over them so fast there was nothing for me to do for them. We still have no idea what went wrong. So I guess we'll be starting all over again:sad1:

Oh,oh but the one thing that wasn't affected that probably won't surprise most of you is the damn pest anemones they came back like nothing ever happened:rolleyes:

Thanks for listening and I hope every one had a great Thanksgiving!!!!

What kind of container was it? If it was a food grade container they won't leach out chemical if it was non-grade then all sorts of chemicals could had leach into the water and destroyed everything.

Sorry for your lost... :(

It was just a big long container that we used to store clothes in. We cleaned it out with cold water and wiped it down before we used it.

Similar thing happened to me. I moved everything to bins at a friends house while we waited to close on a new house and pretty much lost everything. But the silver lining is that I have a new house and I'll finally get to build an in-wall system like I always wanted. Don't give up... look at this as a fresh start.

Believe me I'm looking at it the same way. We want to upgrade to a 60gal setup. My silver lining is that it will be easier to do now...lol:o

not sure what you guys had in your tank, but when you guys have it running let me know and I will give you some lower end zoas like electric green, whammin watermelon, or something for free. hope all goes well just lmk.

i know ammonia builds up pretty quickly perhaps that could have been a problem..but i guess too late now. But im srry

Sorry for what happened . I had the same fate before but that happen since I did not have a skimmer in the container I think the nitrate just went up fast and killed some fish and corals.

sorry about your loss. I am also willing to give you some free Frogspawn and/or some branching hammer coral...let me know if you are interested

I think you both just might be right. I did use the same tank water insted of mixing some clean water with the tank water to at least try to keep the ammonia and nitrates down some. I just keep thinking of all the things I shoud have done and thought about before moving them.

Thanks for the offer I'll probably hit you up on it soon. Now that you offered up some of your fragspawn I just remembered some awesome frogspawns I got from Keith when he broke down his tank......I'm crying now...lol.

I will put this out to you I have a small clown and a domino damsel they are both together in a 20L with little rock as it was supposed to be temp housing for them... Had to pull them out of the 55 gal as they did not like my mated clown pair.

You want both or either you can have them. Sorry for your loss
Offers good for Tiff393 since she recently lost

did you put all the substrate in the bin also? I thought I rea that disturbing it can cause a huge spike in nitrates. Maybe Im wrong.
