Light Cycle

Ok, so I have a dwarf fuzzy lion in a refugium.


I want to run the refugium from about 9pm-1am and then again from 7am-noon.

Is this going to negatively impact my lion? Having two light and two dark periods per 24 hrs, instead of one?

It probably is going to effect it as much as it would effect you were you put into the same situation... not ideal, but I wouldnt suspect it causes much harm, he might just be a little sluggish.

What is the point of running your refugium odd hours? You'll get better growth of algae in there if you have a good 10-12 hours of continuous light.

my fuge is attached to my sump in the basement, and I am worried what the neighbours will think if I have blue lights coming from my basement all night everynight. lol
